IS IT ONLY ACOUSTIC?
Short answer… No.
We’re Electrified. And Acoustic.
WHAT KIND OF MUSIC…?
All genres welcome. We’ve engineered them all… You’ll sound great.
I’M A MAGICIAN. I’M A VENTRILOQUIST. I’M A COMEDIAN. I’M A MIME. MAY I STILL PERFORM?
Short answer… No. We’re keeping it strictly music. Beat poetry, Rap poetry excepted (Shram) as it’s musical.
We’ve welcomed various diciplines in the past, and we’ve had a great time, yet we’ve decided it’s best to organize a separate night to allow the necessary space, time, and unique vibe they each deserve. Sorry folks, but on the bright side, please come in + talk to us about a show idea!

Super excited to be bringing you another awesome night of epic music – three way cool local bands at our amazing venue!!
Lyrical / theatrical pop, awesome storytelling and amazing live performance. Cat’s incisive lyrics and intense stage presence would remind you of musicians like Tori Amos, Kate Bush, and Sarah Slean, with an original and fun twist that grabs the crowd.
Solid NewCanRock, definitely going to get the house rocking! Since the release of their critically-acclaimed 2009 debut Can You Hear Me?, Paint has played over 300 shows from Vancouver to Halifax, including multiple returns to North by Northeast (named one of the top acts of 2012 by The Toronto Star), Canadian Music Week, Indie Week, Hamilton Music Awards and New Music West, and been voted a listener-favourite on 102.1 The Edge.
Jazzpop / sophistipop, awesome cool tunes to make it a perfect evening of cool music. THE NAIVE recently released their Debut EP “Saw The Sun”. “With an eclectic mix of influence, this music carves it’s own little path through the noise.” – Live In Limbo.
Never been to an In The Round? These concerts focus on the stories behind the music, and the songs themselves. The music is stripped back to allow listeners to really experience the songs at the most authentic level. What it also means is that we won’t be having ‘sets’ per se – all four songwriters will be on stage together the whole time!
The first thing that strikes listeners about Hamilton’s Gillian Nicola is the strength of her vocals. This rising singer/songwriter calls on influences of folk, rock and alt-country to bring a sound both unique to her and that honours her diverse taste.
Duane Rutter is a veteran, multi award nominated singer songwriter from the tobacco belt of Southern Ontario. He has performed across Canada and the USA with regular appearances at Nashvilles famous Bluebird Cafe. Rutter has released three records on the Busted Flat Records label with the most recent being “Crazy Things” featuring Rock and Roll, Juno and Blues Hall of Fame (and founding member of The Band) member Garth Hudson.
Evangeline Gentles music proves there is beauty and power in vulnerability, honesty, and speaking from the heart. Evangeline’s expressive lyrics and haunting vocals bring boldness and bravery to folk-rock music, and serve to break the boundaries of love. Evangeline Gentle is a true secret-teller and queer bleeding heart.
Bill Simms is a singer/ songwriter/ multi-instrumentalist from Corner Brook, Newfoundland who is now living in Southern Ontario. His music ranges stylistically between folk, country, blues, and soul with lyrics utilizing both his cheeky sense of humour and honest sincerity. He holds a diploma in Music Industry and Performance as well as a Degree in Jazz Studies and has performed with various artists including Sarah Beatty, The Heavy Horses, and Mallory Johnson.
