The music of self-taught multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Charles Garant is driven by an ever-continual desire to be deliberately out of time and therefore timeless. A native of Quebec City, starting cello at age 4 before picking up guitar and drums at age 11, his formative years have wrought a single-minded vision of creating music in his own terms, playing all the instruments and self-producing. Over the course of three full-length albums, one EP and a dozen of singles, his alternative power pop signature fits among the Beatles’s pop legacy, resumed by the likes of Supertramp, Big Star and XTC. His upcoming album Dual Nature Of Time, partially recorded at Montreal’s Studio Piccolo is set to be released on May 30th, 2025.

Eleven Minutes Late is a four piece alternative rock band based in Toronto. In true Toronto fashion, we discovered that our back grounds (both musical and otherwise) are greatly varied, from catchy garage and indie rock to defiant punk. In late 2022, we learned a variety of covers in these genres and debuted as band in spring of 2023. Having gotten a foothold in the local cover’s scene, we began to create our own sound. Featuring catchy guitar riffs, energetic vocals, and tight, danceable rhythms, we released our first three demos to kick off 202 4, with many more to come.
We are currently working on more music to put towards a debut EP while also performing at different spots around Toronto including Sneaky Dee’s and The Painted Lady. Our band consists of Luis Plasencia (Drums), Wasim Demachkie (Lead Vocals/Guitar), Alex Trachsell (Bass) and Vincent Purchase (Lead Guitar). Our live shows are full of energy to compliment the urgency of our music and message. Eleven Minutes Late recognizes that time is precious and so we won’t waste any of yours

Heidi Savoie is a pianist, vocalist, and composer who bends and blends genres to get a unique form of jazz, classical and pop. She draws inspiration from artists such as Diana Krall, Norah Jones, Melody Gardot and Laila Biali. Although her expansive repertoire reaches across many genres and decades, Heidi has a special zeal for showing off the charming vintage pop of the 1940s.
Her songwriting blends sincere lyrics and stirring melodies with subtle harmonic complexity that invites the listener into a dreamy soundscape. Her recent release, “Flowers for Billy” pairs her emotive piano stylings with lush string arrangements in an EP tribute to Billy Strayhorn hailed as “rich …. immediate and vulnerable” (CBC Music, Laila Biali).
Savoie has studied with world-class musicians including Barry Harris, Dave Holland, Mark Eisenman, and Chris Potter. Heidi has performed alongside Canadian greats such as Sarah Slean, the Canadian Tenors, and more. Recent appearances include North York Concert Orchestra, TIFF, Casa Loma, Art Gallery of Hamilton and more.
Heidi has also spent the last several years playing music for weddings and events that guests have described as “magical ambience” and “immaculate vibes”. She also teaches piano and singing, sharing her ‘cheerful noise’ approach to life and music. When not occupied with music, Heidi can often be found sewing dresses with pockets and pickling whatever can be pickled!
