The Strangemakers release their new single: WAIT ON ME.
The Strangemakers are a Toronto Alt-Roots-Rock/Canadiana outfit with a cool name. Their songs veer from the unflinching and incisive, at times wryly humoured, to the outright unabashed and exhuberant. And they do this with humility, an earthiness anchored in honesty, and a genuine compassion for the characters that people their songs. Their musical leanings remind one of Natalie Merchant and 10000 Maniacs, if you remember that far back…
On the Strangemakers’ website it says:
“The Strangemakers cordially invite you to a world of their makings:Â From folksy contemplations about loneliness in a big city, to foot-stomping reflections on the fleeting present,

Their songs are at once intimate and epic, marked by turns of phrase that’ll cut a sly smile across your face.
Powerfully fronted by Alex McCulloch, her voice rips these songs into life. She and Tom Perry really are storytellers to listen and watch for. You will be entertained.
