Liam: Rise Carmine is blowing the doors wide open on the alt-rock scene in a new genre-bending world. With an unabashedly eclectic sound equally rooted in 90s indie rock and new-age psychedelia, Rise Carmine (AKA Liam Colbert) is keen on leaning into sounds outside of the rock/alternative sphere. The debut album ‘Under The Red Light’ unearths the type of dark gritty attitude that exists only where rock and electronic meet. Lead by driving, pulsing bass lines and lead singer Colbert’s soaring vocals, the music is all at once anthemic yet danceable.

Heidi Savoie is a pianist, vocalist, and composer who bends and blends genres to get a unique form of jazz, classical and pop. She draws inspiration from artists such as Diana Krall, Norah Jones, Melody Gardot and Laila Biali. Although her expansive repertoire reaches across many genres and decades, Heidi has a special zeal for showing off the charming vintage pop of the 1940s.
Her songwriting blends sincere lyrics and stirring melodies with subtle harmonic complexity that invites the listener into a dreamy soundscape. Her recent release, “Flowers for Billy” pairs her emotive piano stylings with lush string arrangements in an EP tribute to Billy Strayhorn hailed as “rich …. immediate and vulnerable” (CBC Music, Laila Biali).
Savoie has studied with world-class musicians including Barry Harris, Dave Holland, Mark Eisenman, and Chris Potter. Heidi has performed alongside Canadian greats such as Sarah Slean, the Canadian Tenors, and more. Recent appearances include North York Concert Orchestra, TIFF, Casa Loma, Art Gallery of Hamilton and more.
Heidi has also spent the last several years playing music for weddings and events that guests have described as “magical ambience” and “immaculate vibes”. She also teaches piano and singing, sharing her ‘cheerful noise’ approach to life and music. When not occupied with music, Heidi can often be found sewing dresses with pockets and pickling whatever can be pickled!
